Overview

Manager, Expert Sales, Commercial Products Northern Gulf will be responsible to develop and execute sales strategies in line with regional and country objectives for selling Commercial Payment Products to Issuers as well as Corporates. He/She will also be responsible to manage the relationship with these clients segments as well as sales, revenue and profit objectives for Commercial Products.Role will be based in Mastercard Office in Doha, Qatar.The position reports to Head of CPS Sales, MENA. This position stands on its own with no direct reports, and the jobholder must be able to operate at a strategic and operational level.

Role

 Deliver the Commercial Products strategy, volume and P&L objectives for Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrainin line with the overall MENA Commercial Products strategy and market sharegrowth plans

 Drive market creation across these two markets, taking the lead in educating banks, B2B merchants and MasterCard colleagues as to the opportunity for Commercial products.

 Lead the sales effort, coordinating and developing the opportunity pipeline whilst leveraging all available resources and ensure effective project implementation and coordination with; 1) the issuing bank teams (to develop the opportunity), 2) GP&S (to highlight product innovation opportunities emerging from discussions with Corporates, issuers and other participants) and 3) Customer Delivery (to ensure new implementation needs are fully planned and met).

 Identify the target / focus issuers for key verticals of Commercial Payments such as T&E cards, corporate cards, SME cards, VCN etc.

 Align and collaborate with Country Manager & others to ensure understanding of market strategies and drive alignment to the regional strategy

 Identify and drive business and product innovation opportunities from the Commercial segment.

 Identify and suggest regional partnerships to help accelerate the value addition / CVP for the solution with GPS team.

 Assess and understand the Commercial payments market, competition, market direction and trends.

 Support Account management with key stakeholders in the market –i.e. issuers

 Develop financial modeling and business cases for identified opportunities, as well as coordinate contract development and CBA

 Lead in providing market intelligence and market requirements to product developers and product managers to support product design, development and implementation efforts

Experience

 Experience in the payment/technology industry in solution sales / market development

 Deep knowledge and understanding of Corporate & Transaction Banking products and services as well as Commercial Card products (including but not limited to Corporate Cards, SME Cards, Purchasing & Procurement products, Central Travel Accounts, eInvoicing etc.), with significant experience in sales and business development within the B2B space and relevant tertiary qualifications.

 Progressive business experience, with a strong track record in the payments industry and deep knowledge of consumer payments.

 Strong account management experience – ability to understand customer and constituent needs, marketplace dynamics, industry trends and the competitive landscape.

 Strong project and relationship management skills – extensive experience and a proven track record of managing simultaneous initiatives, multiple stakeholders in a multicultural environment, across multiple geographic locations, solving problems and applying effective planning skills to deliver multiple initiatives with external and internal clients.

 Strong negotiating and influencing skills, with the ability to execute through others who do not report directly.
